Taskin Ahmed and Saif Hasan will represent Dhaka Capitals in the upcoming BPL. Both national team cricketers have signed contracts with the franchise today.
In the previous BPL season, Taskin impressed with Rajshahi, while Saif played for Rangpur Riders. Ahead of this year’s auction, all teams were given the opportunity to sign two local players prior to the bidding. Dhaka Capitals have capitalised on this rule by bringing Taskin and Saif into their squad.
Earlier, the new BPL franchise Rajshahi Warriors signed opener Tanzid Hasan. Bangladesh Test captain Najmul Hossain is also expected to feature for the same team.
The 12th edition of the BPL is scheduled to take place over three weeks in December, with the auction set for 21 November. While the draft system has been used in recent years, the BCB is holding a full auction this season.
