The historic moment unfolded on Tuesday, 23 December, during the opening match of the Indonesia–Cambodia T20 series in Bali. Chasing a challenging target of 168 runs, Cambodia appeared to be steadily rebuilding their innings. After 15 overs, they were placed at 106 for 5, with hopes of pushing the game deep into the final overs.
Everything changed dramatically in the 16th over when Priyandana was introduced into the attack. What followed was a spell of bowling that stunned players and spectators alike. He struck with his very first delivery, then followed it up with two more wickets off consecutive balls to complete a sensational hat-trick. Rather than easing off, the Indonesian pacer maintained relentless accuracy, dismissing two more batters with the next deliveries. The over yielded five wickets for just one run, instantly swinging the contest in Indonesia’s favour.
Cambodia’s innings collapsed shortly thereafter, and Indonesia went on to secure a commanding 60-run victory, sealing the match well before the final overs.
