Virat Kohli Scripts History, Breaks Jacques Kallis’ Record

India’s star batter Virat Kohli did have a forgetful outing with the bat in the three-match ODI series against Australia, but as far as his fielding is concerned, he yet again proved that he is still one of the best. Post getting out on ducks twice, he made a brilliant comeback by taking brilliant catches, which helped him script history.

During the 3rd ODI in Sydney, Virat Kohli took two brilliant catches as the first one while standing at square leg, and he took the other at long-off, breaking Jacques Kallis’ record of taking 338 catches. Virat has taken 339 catches and is lying in 4th position on the list of taking the most catches in international cricket.

Legendary players like Mahela Jayawardene (440), Ricky Ponting (364), and Ross Taylor (354) are also a part of this list.

He first took a brilliant catch while standing at square leg and helped the team dismiss Matthew Short.

He then took the second catch while standing at long-off and took a stunning catch of Cooper Connolly. Both these catches showed his vintage best, as he is always ready to give his all.

At the same time, while batting first, the hosts were aiming to post a mammoth target while they were 183/3 but they were skittled out for 236. Matt Renshaw was the highest run scorer as he had scored a gritty knock of 56 runs off 58 balls. Harshit Rana was the pick among the Indian bowlers as he registered figures of 4/39.
