Sahibzada Farhan Emerges As T20 “Six Machine”

The landscape of Twenty20 cricket has long been dominated by aggressive stroke play, but a new force has now emerged to define the modern game. Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan has become the latest sensation, earning the moniker of the “Six Machine” for his remarkable ability to clear the boundary with astonishing regularity.

Since the start of 2025, Farhan has smashed 150 sixes in just 69 innings, surpassing celebrated T20 stars such as India’s Abhishek Sharma and South Africa’s Dewald Brevis. Brevis, meanwhile, has hit 144 sixes in 59 innings, falling short by just six from Farhan’s tally. Sharma has contributed 136 sixes over 56 innings, highlighting the elite competition at the top of T20 batting charts.

Notably, Farhan’s dominance extends beyond six-hitting. He has struck seven centuries in T20 cricket since 2025, more than any other player in this period. India’s Ishan Kishan follows with four centuries, demonstrating Farhan’s superior consistency in converting starts into big scores.

His aggregate runs are equally impressive. Farhan has accumulated 2,690 runs at an average of 42.05, comfortably leading the charts. The nearest competitor in terms of total runs is New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, with 2,197 runs. Despite his power-hitting supremacy, Farhan’s strike rate remains moderate compared to some of his peers, registering 152.58—higher only than West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran, whose strike rate stands at 146.9. India’s Abhishek Sharma boasts the highest strike rate among the top five, at an eye-watering 200.81.

Farhan is also prolific in scoring fours. With 243 boundaries in this period, he combines power with volume scoring. Analysts suggest that his slightly lower strike rate is reflective of his approach, prioritising controlled aggression and sustained innings over purely explosive hitting.
