Nurul Hasan Sohan played in the final match of the recently concluded West Indies series. However, he sustained an ankle injury while fielding. Due to this, the wicketkeeper-batter may have to stay off the field for a few days.
After the injury, Sohan’s ankle was X-rayed at a local hospital in Chattogram. The BCB medical department has received the results. The outcome is somewhat positive, although Sohan is still wearing a bandage on his foot.
The BCB medical team told Dhaka Post that Sohan’s X-ray report showed no fractures. Doctors will examine his foot again tomorrow, after which it will be clearer how long he will be sidelined. The injury mainly affects his ligament.
Meanwhile, like Sohan, Shariful Islam also got injured in the last T20 match. He sustained a hamstring injury. Today, his MRI report has been received. It is reported to be a Grade One injury, and Shariful is expected to recover and return to the field within 7 to 10 days.
