Iftikhar Ahmed Returns to Rangpur Riders for New BPL Campaign

Rangpur Riders have brought back Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed ahead of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season, reaffirming their trust in him. The one-time champions have signed him once more for the latest edition.

Last season, the 35-year-old Iftikhar impressed with the bat for Rangpur, accumulating 305 runs, which placed him second on the team’s scoring chart. Saif Hassan finished at the top with 306 runs. In addition to his batting strength, Iftikhar also secured 5 wickets with his off-spin in 12 matches.

Confirming the development via social media, Rangpur Riders said, ‘All-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed will thrill supporters once again in Rangpur colours. This Pakistani powerhouse will represent Rangpur this season too.’

Iftikhar is accompanied by three more Pakistani cricketers in the team’s overseas quota—Khawaja Nafay, Faheem Ashraf, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
