Chattogram Royals Face Early Change as Habibul Bashar Withdraws

Six franchises are set to contest the upcoming 12th edition of the BPL. In a significant development for Chattogram Royals, operating under new ownership, Habibul Bashar Sumon has stepped down from his designated role.

His appointment as manager and mentor had been announced earlier, but he has now opted to withdraw from the tournament due to personal reasons.

Mominul Haque will take over as the head coach, with Najmul Hossain Milon and Ashraful Islam Jiko forming part of the coaching structure.

Preparations are also nearing completion for the remaining franchises. Rangpur’s coaching team features head coach Mickey Arthur, assistant coach Mohammad Ashraful, batting coach Shahriar Nafees and spin bowling coach Mohammad Rafique.

Hannan Sarkar will act as the head coach of Rajshahi, Toby Rutherford will lead Dhaka Capitals, Sohel Islam will oversee Sylhet and Khaled Mahmud Sujon will take charge of Noakhali.
