Celebrating Bangladesh Cricket: A Commemorative Book Showcases 50 Historic Match Tickets

Bangladesh is marking 25 years since its first Test match, played on 10 November 2000. To celebrate this milestone, the Bangladesh Cricket Museum has released a commemorative book titled ‘Memorable Match Tickets’.

The book features 50 historic tickets carefully selected from the personal collection of cricket memorabilia collector Junayed Paikar. It reflects the emotions, memories, and pride of Bangladesh’s quarter-century journey in Test cricket, while also taking readers on a nostalgic journey through the country’s key cricketing milestones and memorable matches.

BCB President Aminul Islam lauded the initiative, saying, “I sincerely thank Junayed Paikar and the Bangladesh Cricket Museum for this remarkable project. These rare ticket mementos beautifully capture the legacy of our Test cricket. Each ticket tells a story—a story of moments, milestones, and emotions that have shaped our cricketing identity.”

Junayed Paikar, the book’s compiler, added, “These tickets are more than just memorabilia; they are symbols of our cricketing journey and progress. This book is my tribute to the memories and emotions that together define Bangladesh’s cricketing heritage.”
