After winning the ODI series, Bangladesh will take on the visiting West Indies in a three-match T20 series in Chattogram. The Tigers will use this series as part of their preparation for next year’s T20 World Cup. The first match will start on Monday, 27 October, at 6 PM.
Ahead of the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year, Bangladesh will play two bilateral series. Following the West Indies series, the Tigers will host Ireland at home. These two series will allow Bangladesh to fine-tune their preparations for the World Cup.
Bangladesh is in excellent form in the T20 format, having won their last four series. Liton’s team has defeated Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and most recently Afghanistan. The Tigers aim to continue their winning streak by claiming a fifth consecutive series against West Indies.
Recently, Bangladesh secured a 2-1 victory in the three-match ODI series against West Indies. They won the first match, lost the second in a Super Over, and clinched the series with a record win in the final match.
Bangladesh also won their most recent T20 series against West Indies. In December 2024, they won the three-match T20 series 3-0 during their tour of the West Indies. With recent strong performances and a whitewash in the last series, Bangladesh will enter the series as favorites.
A win in the first match will level the overall head-to-head record. The two teams have faced each other 19 times in T20s so far. Bangladesh has won 8 matches, West Indies 9, and 2 matches were abandoned.
