Six cricketers from Bangladesh travelled to Pakistan to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with Parvez Hossain receiving the longest No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). However, contrary to the initial schedule, he will now be the first among them to return home due to injury.
The Lahore Qalandars confirmed that Parvez Hossain has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament because of a shoulder injury. According to the franchise, he is expected to leave for Dhaka on Saturday night.
This marks Parvez’s debut appearance in the PSL. He featured in three matches for Lahore Qalandars. After modest returns in his first two outings, he produced a notable innings of 45 runs off 19 balls in his third match. Across the tournament, he accumulated 71 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 161.36.

The franchise stated on its official Facebook page that Parvez sustained his injury during a collision with Asif Ali in a match against Multan Sultans on 3 April at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The incident resulted in a shoulder injury, after which his participation became uncertain and has now been formally ended.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board had granted Parvez an NOC valid until 25 April for his participation in the PSL. However, his early exit means he will return to Bangladesh well before the expiry of his clearance period.
Meanwhile, five other Bangladeshi cricketers are also currently in Pakistan for PSL commitments. They are Mustafizur Rahman, Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, Rishad Hossain, and Tanzid Hasan. All five are also included in Bangladesh’s squad for the One Day International series against New Zealand, scheduled to begin on 17 April. Their NOCs are valid until 12 April, after which they are expected to return to Bangladesh the following day.
The Lahore Qalandars confirmed that Parvez will depart for Dhaka on Saturday night, officially ending his first PSL campaign prematurely due to injury.
